2015 Twin Cities Convention

Online registration for the 2015 Twin Cities Convention is now open! Details about the convention have also been posted.

Registration can be done online via the Company Store or by mailing in your Registration Form available in the March Goat. This form can also be downloaded from this website. Registration is open until June 20th.

Please check out the Convention Info pages for more.

Please note: The registration form included in the March Goat has an unfortunate typo in the price for the Convention Cap. These are $15 each, not $5. The Online Registration and Registration Form downloadable from this site have the correct pricing.

‘Hustle Muscle’ to operate on the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Ry this summer

GN SD45 #400 'Hustle Muscle'
GN SD45 #400 ‘Hustle Muscle’

The Board is excited to announce that the GNRHS has entered into an agreement with the Minnesota Transportation Museum to allow for the use of our Great Northern SD45 #400 ‘Hustle Muscle’ on their excursions trains out of Osceola, Wisconsin starting this summer. This agreement will allow Hustle Muscle to “stretch her legs” keeping her in operational condition.

The 1966 EMD-built locomotive will be used on a steady basis for the benefit of both organizations, and will often be seen alongside her EMD production-line companion Great Northern SDP40 #325. Both engines’ builder numbers are only one number apart (builder no’s 31597 and 31598).

The agreement with MTM will last through October 31, 2016.

Please keep an eye on this website and the MTM website for schedule information.
