J Train & Sky School, April 2006
The annual GNRHS and Skykomish Historical Society joint event “GN Day in Skykomish” was held in Sky on September 12, 2015.
Artrain Hooked up to the J Train
Forty-five people attended and enjoyed a day of friendship, stories, displays and short presentations.
Highlights included J. Craig Thorpe showing his new painting of the Empire Builder on the Gaynor Bridge, GN veterans telling “true stories” of events, and presentations about carrying “Planes on Trains” and a photo travel log “Up the Tumwater Canyon”.
Next year’s event is planned for Saturday, September 10, 2016 on the weekend prior to the GNRHS convention in Spokane.
