The Skykomish Historical Society and GNRHS are sponsoring a “GN Day in Sky”. This informal event in Sky, at the Masonic Hall, will start at 9:30 AM and end at 3:30 PM. Program subjects will consist of presentations, displays and time for discussions. Free and open to the public.
The program will have short presentations and anyone attending may bring a GN related display with tables provided
Craig Thorpe will present his approach to creating railroad paintings and show many of his GN related subjects from his over 300 paintings completed. He will also have prints available.
Also a presentation on Internet Railfanning will show and demonstrate a few online resources including the new Virtual Railfan camera in Sky.
Other short subjects are being scheduled, also.
Bring your own lunch or we can order form the Sky Deli.
As always lots of time is set aside for visiting and a long lunch provides time to see the museum or ride the GN&C Railway.
